Summer reading through Poudre School District's LINC Library program and the Poudre River Public Libraries will help keep students’ reading skills sharp over the summer.
The Poudre River Public Libraries will offer prizes for completed reading goals through their Summer Reading Program. In addition, eight PSD elementary school libraries will be open this summer through the PSD LINC Library program, allowing students to check out books and enjoy special summer programs.
PSD LINC library program:
Special guests and presentations will engage children while offering an opportunity for them to checkout books at some PSD elementary school libaries. Some presentations include Amy Fristoe and her therapy dogs, music, bees, yoga for kids, baton twirling and more.
The following school libraries will be open from 9 a.m. to noon, Tuesdays or Thursdays, June 8 - July 15. All programs will begin at 10 a.m.
LINC libraries open on Tuesdays include: Johnson, 4101 Seneca St Putnam, 1400 Maple Riffenburgh, 1320 E. Stuart St Tavelli, 1118 Miramont Drive
LINC libraries open on Thursdays include: Bacon, 5844 South Timberline Road Bethke, 5100 School House Drive, Timnath Cache La Poudre, 3511 W. County Rd. 54G, Laporte Rice, 7000 Third St., Wellington

The young and young-at-heart are encouraged to register through the Poudre River Public Libraries for this year’s Summer Reading Program! There are programs for children, teens and adults!
Registration for this free program begins May 12 and will continue through August 8. Library programs, special events, puppet shows, musical guests, and more will begin June 14. This year’s programs for kids, teens and adults are focused on the theme of water. Kids from birth through 3 years are “Splish Splash - Read!” Kids age 4 through those who have completed fifth grade are “Make A Splash - Read”. Teens will “Make Waves” and adults “Water Your Mind”. Prizes will be given out in all age groups with grand prizes at the end of the program.
