Staff Win "Teacher Tuesday"CiCi Wojtysiak nominated Mrs. Swanson and Mrs. Parks for the "K99 Radio Teacher Tuesday" this month and they were both chosen! Here is her essay:
Hi! My name is Ci-Ci. I am a 6th grader at Wellington Middle School and I want to nominate my "Brian Garry (Mrs. Judy Parks) and my "Todd Harding" (Mrs. Mary Swanson)...my media teachers! I could not nominate one without the other because they are the "Brian and Todd-Good Morning Guys" of my world. They complete each others' sentences, they just look at each other and say "I'll go here, you go there". They are so amazing and yet no one thinks they are teachers. They are who we all run to for a smile, a hug and most important of all, HELP! Reading, writing, math, history, Geo, English, music, whatever the question may be...they tell me that "if you and I are not connecting then I am not asking the right question and I will keep asking questions until I get it right!". They make me feel like I can do anything (even on a really bad day!!!!!!!). If they cannot answer my question or help me with a problem they do not quit until we find the answer. They are so amazing and yet no one thinks they are teachers. They help our other teachers solve computer problems, camera problems...whatever it takes. I am so thankful, on a daily basis, for my "Brian" (Mrs. Parks) and my "Todd" (Mrs. Swanson" because without them, I would be lost.
