Fort Collins High School Teacher Honored:

Congratulations to Ron Jensen, Fort Collins High School 10^th grade chemistry teacher, who was honored as one of the Panera Bread and the Colorado Parent Teacher Association outstanding educators for the state of Colorado for secondary schools. Jensen is one of three statewide winners to receive a 2007 Rising Above Award. The annual essay contest asked Colorado students to write about what made their teacher rise above the rest in the classroom.

Werner Elementary Teacher Has Photo of Comet Published:

Congratulations to Mary Laslo, Werner Elementary teacher, for having a photograph of a comet published in the May 2007 edition of Astronomy magazine (pullout section of page 44). The photograph was of the Mcnaught comet and was taken near Wellington.
