PSD School Board Offers Orientation

The PSD School Board is hosting an orientation for potential Board candidates seeking office in the November 2007 election.

 “Last year, the Board significantly changed the way it operates with the adoption of Policy Governance,” said Jana Ley, Board of Education President. “The purpose of this orientation is to provide sufficient information about this policy and the role of Board members to enable potential candidates to make an informed decision about their campaign.”

Two orientation sessions will be offered. Both sessions will run 5-7 pm in the Board Room at the PSD Johannsen Support Services Center at 2407 LaPorte Avenue.

• Monday, July 30 For all potential candidates.
• Monday, Sept. 10 For candidates on the ballot.
