Delivering and Picking-Up Children

Now that our Drop Off and Pick Up area is once again open, we would like to ask your support in ensuring that every student is safe when arriving or departing Shepardson. Student safety is our number one priority! To that end, please help us by observing the following guidelines:

• Avoid parking on the Pick Up/Drop Off lane from 7:30- 9:30 AM and 2:30- 4:00 PM.
• Stay in your cars while you are in line waiting for your children. Leaving your car unattended will result in holding up the line and cars behind you will be forced to back up and pull around you thus disrupting the flow of traffic.
• Be patient when waiting in line, eventually cars will move forward. Pulling out of line and cutting in front to an open spot may result in students’ safety being compromised.
• Students should board cars only when their ride is on the 3 or 4 spots closest to the playground exit.
• Most importantly, children should enter and exit their cars on the sidewalk side so that they are never walking between cars where it could be unsafe.
• Two spots are reserved for daycare vans. Please do not park or wait in these spaces.

Important Reminder

Please remember that we can only provide supervision for students between 8:20 AM and 3:18 PM. Before and after school is when the Shepardson staff is getting ready for the school day, learning new techniques to improve instruction, or working as teams to address the educational needs of our amazing students.
