
Students' Posters on DisplayPSD Students’ Posters on Display at Prestigious Poster Exhibition
Twenty-two posters designed by PSD students will be on display at the Colorado International Invitational Poster Exhibit, September 14 through October 19, at the Lincoln Center, 417 Magnolia St. Three student winners will be announced and recognized at 6:00 p.m. during the opening reception, scheduled for 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Sept 13, at the Lincoln Center in the Columbine Room. The public may attend.
The Colorado International Invitational Poster Exhibition is a biennial event and the only exhibition of its kind. This year’s event will host works of 87 artists from 31 countries, all reflecting international perspectives on political, social and cultural issues.
Participating PSD students from Poudre and Rocky Mountain High Schools include: Kristen Hill, Hannah Roberts, Simone White, Daniel Everett, Jasminel Alvarado, James Duvall, Lee Paustian, Gabi Preston, Seth Vandenburg, Max Nunnelee, Caitlin Anderson, Caleb Redus, Nick Richling, Amy House, Denae Hazlett, Hannah Perkins, Jera Dobroth, Rachel Lacert, Jessi Schrader, T.J. Zafarana, Michael Bishop-Hoyt, and John Alfonzo.
Renowned graphic artist Fang Chen of China, an associate professor in the Department of Integrative Arts at Pennsylvania State University, has been named Honor Laureate for this year’s poster exhibition. Chen will deliver a public lecture at the reception for the Laureate and High School exhibition in the Lincoln Center’s Columbine Room.
The Lincoln Center is one of four state satellite locations for this very special art event. Poudre School District, Colorado State University and Lincoln Center have worked together to bring student work to this prestigious exhibition.
