
DECA Students Earn Top Scores
DECA Students Qualify for International Conference
Congratulations to fifteen business and marketing students who will compete at the 2009 International Career Development Conference April 29 through May 2, in Anaheim, California.
The students earned top scores during the state DECA Association of Marketing student competition held in February. Students involved in DECA have an interest in marketing, management and entrepreneurship. The competitions help students develop skills and competence for marketing careers, build self–esteem, experience leadership and practice community service.
Congratulations to:
Fort Collins High School: Kelly Kappel, teacher and club advisor; junior Alex McConnell, junior Megan Jansen, and sophomore Amelia Mawlawi.
Fossil Ridge High School: James Menefee, teacher and club advisor; Kayla Carriker, Alisha Jost, Taylor Jackson, Kevin Cornelison, Montgomery Taylor II and Becky Ewing, all seniors. Junior Lois Kaiser was selected to represent District 6 as the Regional Vice President for the State of Colorado.
Poudre High School: Jeremy Johner, PHS teacher and club advisor; Amelia Adams and senior Durrie Schuette, both seniors.
Rocky Mountain High School: Scott VanDalen, teacher and club advisor; seniors Jessica Pansire and Sudi Reddy and junior Kira Quan.
