Proceeds from Book Fair Will put New Books in Student’s Hands

The public is invited to buy a book at Barnes and Noble Saturday through Monday, May 9 though 11, and help put books in the hands of English language learners during a special three-day book fair.

Poudre School District’s English Language Acquisition Department is sponsoring the Book Fair, which will be held during regular business hours, Saturday, May 9, through Sunday, May 11, at Barnes and Noble, 4045 South College Avenue.  Business hours are 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday, and 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.

A percentage of any purchase made at Barnes and Noble during the ELA book fair will go to support the ELA department.  Customers simply need to tell the cashier you are supporting PSD and the ELA Department when making their purchase. 

Money from the book fair will be used to purchase books for PSD libraries. 

“Our goal is to add to the schools’ library collections more books that are bilingual and multicultural in theme.” said Diane Catlin, ELA coordinator.  “We believe this effort will benefit all students and is another way to positively impact the climate and culture of our schools.”
