PSD "Hold the Holidays" Challenge

PSD Promotes Staff Health with “Hold the Holidays” Competition

Poudre School District Wellness Matters Committee is encouraging employees, volunteers and their families to maintain their weight over the holidays through a friendly competition called “Hold the Holidays.”

Participating teams of up to 10 PSD employees, volunteers, and their family members will join together in their fight against the holiday bulge when they weigh in on a 4ft x 4 ft. scale just before Thanksgiving break, schedule below. Teams will be challenged to keep their total team weight to within 2 pounds per person over the holidays, and will step on the scale for a post-holiday weigh-out in January.  

“PSD is wholeheartedly invested in supporting students and staff to maintain their physical and mental health year round, and the holidays can be particularly challenging time for all of us,” said Cheryl Albaugh, wellness committee member.  The Hold the Holidays campaign, developed by  Poudre Valley Hospital's worksite wellness team, offers a unique opportunity to model healthy choices even in challenging situations, with measurable outcomes we can celebrate together.”
