Elementary School Boundary Meetings

Review proposed elementary boundary recommendations at public input meetings scheduled in March

The Elementary Boundary Steering Committee invites parents and community members to review boundary scenarios at two public meetings scheduled in March.

The Steering Committee is analyzing elementary boundaries to better balance enrollment in Poudre School District, as well as to correct non-adjacent elementary attendance areas and to the degree possible align elementary and middle school feeder school systems. The Steering Committee, which began meeting in December, will also determine the feasibility of zonal bussing in elementary areas affected by non-adjacent boundaries.

The Steering Committee continues to narrow scenarios and will present recommendations to the Review Committee on Monday, Feb. 22, at the Poudre High School Events Center, 201 Impala Drive. The Review Committee will review boundary scenarios with school communities and provide feedback to the Steering Committee.

Scenarios will be posted on the PSD Web site in late February/early March for the public to review.

Proposed recommendations will be available for review at two public input meetings scheduled in March. The same information will be available at each meeting. Parents, staff and community members are encouraged to attend one of the public meetings scheduled for:

• 5-7 p.m., Monday, March 1, Rocky Mountain High School Commons, 1300 W. Swallow.
• 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, Rocky Mountain High School Commons, 1300 W. Swallow.

• 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 16, at the Johannsen Support Services Complex, 2407 LaPorte Ave.
• 5 – 7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 22, (with the Review Committee) at the Poudre High School Events Center, 201 Impala Drive.
• 12:30-4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 24, at the Partnership Center, 1630 S. Stover
