Science Fair / Inventor's Fair

56th Colorado Science & Engineering Fair

Congratulations to the Blevins students who participated in this year's State Science Fair. Over 300 students representing the state's top science fair projects chosen from 13 regional Science Fairs competed at this year's event. Making it to this level is very difficult, and Blevins had more State qualifiers than any other Poudre School District school. Blevins students received the following recognitions:

Sean Papile received a special awards from MWH Americas, Inc., the Xcel Environmental Stewardship Award, the United States Air Force Award, the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps Award. He also received Honorable Mention in the Energy and Transportation Division.

Maddy Olver received Honorable Mention for the Animal Sciences Division

Elise Niedringhaus received a special award from SACNAS, and also received 3rd place in the Math and Computer Science Division

41st Longs Peak Science & Engineering Fair 2011

Blevins students competed in a field of the best 213 projects of Northern Colorado at the 41st Longs Peak Science & Engineering Fair held at the University of Northern Colorado on March 1st. Our students represented Blevins well. Blevins received the following recognitions:

About Blevins' Student Participation in the Wasson Inventor's Fair

Congratulations to the Blevins students who participated in this year's 7th annual Wasson Inventor's Fair. 38 students representing 5 Poudre School District Middle Schools competed at this year's event. All 5 of the Blevins inventions were awarded the first place blue ribbon category. In addition to the first place awards, each student received a $100 bill from Wasson Industries. The Blevins team included:

About Blevins' Student Participation in School, Regional, State, and National Science Fairs

Science Fair provides individual students or small teams of students the option of exploring a science problem through experimentation or solving an engineering design problem. At Blevins every Pre-AP student is required to complete an individual science fair project. Close to 200 students participate in the Blevins Science Fair each year. Judges from the community choose students to send to the Longs Peak Science and Engineering Fair at UNC in Greeley. The top students are invited to participate in the Colorado Science and Engineering Fair. Blevins' students participate in Science Fairs at the school, regional, state, and international level every year.
