Irish Elementary opened in the fall of 1968 in honor of Mrs. Jean Powell Irish, who served as a teacher and principal for the Poudre School District for over thirty years. She always felt that it was important to work to the best of one's ability and always encouraged her students to find their reward in having done their best. We are a friendly bilingual neighborhood school located in the rural northwest corner of Fort Collins. We have approximately 400 students serving from Headstart through sixth grade.
