Expectations and Check Out

Students are expected to use appropriate behavior in the media center. In the media center we follow the SOAR Code:                

Self Control - active listening, quiet voices, raise your hand before talking in a group & walking softly

Optimism - try different genres, read a lot of books & smile loudly

Appreciation - put books & chairs where they belong & be kind to one another

Respect - take care of books & computers, use your time productively, listen carefully and follow directions.

Check Out

    Kindergarteners can check out 1 book.

     1^st, 4th & 5^th graders can check out 3 books. Two on their AR Level & 1 free choice that should still be a book that is just right for them.

2nd & 3rd graders can check out 4 books. Three on their Ar Level & 1 free choice that should still be a book that is just right for them.

       Books check out for two weeks.
