Student Council

Students from the 4^th and 5^th grade classes comprise our Student Council.  Student Council is open to all 5^th  grade students who would like to participate in everything we do in our school and in our community. A few activities we have done, are doing, or will do this year include but are not limited to:

• Cans Around the Oval: student body collects non-perishable foods for families to be distributed by the Larimer County Food Bank
• Red Ribbon Week: bringing awareness of the harmful effects of drugs and alcohol
• Candy grams: Money raised from this bi-yearly fundraiser goes to a foundation or foundations we choose
• Share the Warmth: Hats, gloves, scarves, mittens, etc. are collected on a tree and given to help families in need through the Salvation Army
• School Store: school items such as pens, pencils, erasers, etc. are sold to the student body during lunch times
• Skate parties: money raised from these events are given to the school for various purchases
• Recycle program: each classroom has a recycle bin that is utilized and emptied on a weekly basis by different stu co members
• Spirit days: different dress up days for students and staff to participate in
• ROCKS program: students help to create display rocks for our school wide PBS program.  Student winners have names placed on rock for recognition
• Various fundraisers for numerous programs.
