Fifth Grade
Robert Faris - I have been teaching for 16 years, 4 of them at Riffenburgh. I have a Masters Degree. I cannot imagine doing anything else. The kids' enjoyment of learning is the best reason to teach!
Merin Bruinsma - I have been teaching for eight years, six of them at Riffenburgh. I have a Bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS), and a Masters in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in educational technology. I love being around students who are excited to learn, a staff that is supportive, and parents and a community that truly cares. I am reminded everyday how much I love my job when I open the door to tons of smiling students who are ready to learn, work hard, and have fun! I love spending time with my husband, my family, my dogs, and my friends. I love to be outdoors doing anything active during all seasons, and love watching the Broncos!

Enrichment and Intervention
As part of our school wide adoption and commitment to a state mandated law, No Child Left Behind, we will have a specific time set aside for all students everyday to better meet students’ individual needs. These groups will be working on enriching and intervening for the essential skills deemed necessary for all students to master before moving to the next grade level. We are very excited for this opportunity to better serve our school population and are committed to helping and meeting students wherever they are at.
