Kindergarten Registration

Your child must be 5 years old on or before September 15 to register for kindergarten. Younger students may be accepted if they transfer in to PSD from another public school's kindergarten program. (Refer to Superintendent's Policy JEB, Entrance Age Requirements.)

If you miss the February 2010 kindergarten registration
If you miss the registration process in February, or if you are new to Poudre School District, you may still register your child for kindergarten.

1. Use the School Locator to determine which school serves your neighborhood.
2. Gather required items listed below.
3. Print and complete registration forms (Note:  Schools may have additional forms.)

Required Items

When registering your child, please bring the following items:

• Student's birth certificate, original or certified (required for new kindergarten students only)
• Emergency contact information, including health care provider contact information  
• Immunization records or a signed State of Colorado Exemption Certificate is required for personal, religious, or medical exemptions to school immunization requirements.  Note: Effective January 17, 2007, Colorado immunization requirements for kindergärtners, 6th graders, and 10th graders have changed.  Note: Effective January 17, 2007, Colorado immunization requirements for kindergärtners, 6th graders, and 10th graders have changed.

Summer Vacation
Due to summer vacation, schools are closed June and July. If you are new to the area during those months, you can register your student during late registration in August.
