Where Are All The Businesses?
There were many businesses in Timnath that aren't here now. Some of the businesses that aren't here now are the following: a small potato chip factory, J.L. Joyce Barber Shop, Lund's General Store, a blacksmith shop, Huff's Meat Market, and the Timnath Garage and others. So as you can see Timnath has had some growth and some losses.

Some say that businesses are still here from the 70's and some say there aren't any left. Here is what I got from our interviews. Mr. Duane Fisher said that there hadn't been much growth during the sixties and seventies, and that there aren't many businesses left from the sixties and seventies. Jim Elliot, Dave Elliot, and Dell Miller said that Alpine Cabinets, which was founded in 1968, was still here. The Elliot’s also said that the Post Office and the Colorado Feed and Grain came in in the seventies and are still here.

One of the businesses in the old Cub Reporter newspaper was Hawley Brothers. It said (now is the time to have that new top made for your car.) One of the banks in Timnath was Liberty State Bank. People say different things about Timnath. The Town Hall was once a doctor's office. The post office had a store on the end of it. Store, food locker, a restaurant, a barber shop were once there. The sidewalks were once made of wood. The streets were muddy and a lot bigger than they are now.

Tasha's Processing Page
I chose this class because I like Timnath. My partner, James, is the one who chose businesses in Timnath. I got my information from the Timnath book and from the people I interviewed. I liked doing this class. It was so much fun. The people I interviewed were really fun to talk to. I hope I get to do it another time.

James's Processing Page
I wrote this page on the businesses when I was in sixth grade at Timnath as a part of a final choice class. I chose this topic because there were many businesses in Timnath that many people don't know about. It also had many places I didn't know about. To gather most of my research I interviewed a few people. I also used the book Timnath. In the interviews the people had lots of opinions. It got a little confusing. The Timnath book had some interesting information and a lot of neat pictures.

I would like to thank Mr. Duane Fisher, Mr. Dave Elliot, Mr. Jim Elliot, Ms. Del Miller, Ms. Durkin, Mr. Keith Shader, and the Columbine Club.
