Hello!  Welcome to Wellington Middle School.  My name is Dr. Alicia Durand and I am the principal of WMS.  I started at Wellington Junior High School as a social studies and Spanish teacher in 1986 and I also coached volleyball here for 15 years.  In addition to teaching, I have been the Student Advisor (a school counselor with slightly different duties), an interim Assistant Princiipal and the Assistant Principal before becoming the principal in 2001.  I choose to stay at WMS for one simple reason:  I have yet to find a school that educates students better than WMS!  WMS is a great school, filled with caring, hard working, highly qualified teachers and staff.  We have the most amazing students too!  If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me at (970) 488-6600.
