Honors_Ultimate_Dino_07.doc (29 KB) The Deep Time Diaries unit is used with all 8th graders. We supplement the unit with an honors project for the honors students. They read selections from The Ultimate Dinosaur, which is a collection of factual essays with science fiction short stories to match the topic of the essay. Honors students select an essay/story to read and evaluate, in addition to completing the Deep Time labs and projects. They are excused from some of the "regular" work, so their work is not just "more work," but "higher level" work instead.
