SIT/AVID/PBiS Team
Welcome! Our School Improvement Team/AVID Site Team/PBS team meets the first Wednesday of each month, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. in our Media Center.
School Improvement Team: focus is on issues directly related to Wellington Middle School including funding, budget, staff development, curriculum, etc. We often complete book studies focused on school improvement together.
AVID Site Team: Advancement Via Individual Determination Site Team serves as the improvement team for our AVID program. Work includes keeping parents appraised of AVID happenings and support for the AVID curriculum and elective class. Current work is on moving to the application to become an AVID Demonstration Site for the United States.
PBiS Team: Positive Behavior Intervention Support Team works on the culture and climate of Wellington Middle School. This team reports out on current work done regarding how to positively recognize support of our W.I.N.G.S. program: Wellington Students Inspire, Never Give Up, Always Give Respect and Soar!
