2008-2009 PTA Highlights

2008-2009 PTA Highlight 

• Fall Fun Festival (September 19, 2008) - The festival made profits of roughly $9,200.

• Barnes and Noble Book Fair (October 6, 2008) – Werner received a Barnes & Noble gift card for $561.85 which is 20% of the total sales they had that night. The money raised was used to buy books and AR tests.

• E-Books – Over 600 books were sold and that translated to over $4,000 profit for Environmental Education.

• Coffee, kids, and questions – monthly morning coffee talks for Werner parents

• Scholastic Book Fair (December 1-5, 2008) - Raised close to $2,000 for the Media Center. The money was used to buy books, AR tests, and other material that was needed to provide support for our teachers and to aid in the learning of every child in our school.

• Earth Fair (December 9-12,2008)  - Close to $3,000 in gross sales, which means that 4^th grade raised approximately $750 to help fund its field trip to the Capitol building.

• Restaurant nights – We have many successes stories like the fund raiser at Cici's Pizza on January 22, 2009. Cici's contribution from Werner sales that night contributed $197.55.
