This is my first year as the Media Specialist at Werner Elementary. I was born in Scottsbluff, NE and attended Lincoln Heights, Central and Northfield Elementaries. For 10 years, I worked for Scottsbluff Public Schools as a Media Assistant, Title Reading/Math and 5th Grade Teacher. For the last 11 years I was at O'Dea Core Knowledge as the Media Specialist. I graduated from Gering High School. I received my AA from West Nebraska Junior College, my BA in Elementary Education from Chadron State College and my masters in Educational Media from University of Northern Colorado. I am blessed with a fantastic family consisting of my husband, 3 daughters, 1 son, 2 son-in-laws, 4 grandsons and 2 grandaughters. Being a Nana is the best! We also have two border collies and a tarantula. During my free time, I love to spend time with my family & friends, read, make jewelry, go thrifting, sew, garden, and hike, and listen to music. I am SO looking forward to getting to know the staff, families and students at Werner!
