Mrs. Ortiz

This is my  3rd year as GT coordinator and GT Math teacher at Werner.  In the past, I taught many years as a 5th/6th grade teacher, several years teaching 7th & 8th grade Algebra and Literature, and a few years as head of the GT program in Flagstaff, Arizona.  We moved around quite a lot due to my husband's job, and as a result, I have enjoyed being in many different schools.  My husband and I have 2 sons, one who is a chemist in New Jersey, and the other a financial planner at Vanguard in Phoenix.  Whatever free time I have, I try to work in a trip to see "my boys".  Other than that, I do love a good hike, a bike ride, good books, and home cooked meals - prepared by my husband of course.  I truly look forward to my classes this year and the wonderful students that I work with.
